Dear friends.

“I will not leave you or forsake you. Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land.”

My father spoke on these verses from the first chapter of Joshua at my ordination some thirty years ago, and the Lord still uses them to give me hope, strength and courage when I face turning points in my life. Marcia and I have decided, and feel called by the Lord, to head towards Europe to work among Muslims asylum seekers and immigrants spread out over many countries in Europe and in the United Kingdom.
So now we are moving full speed ahead in that direction. We are only back in our home base a few days each week during the next few months as we visit churches and supporters. It is great to have the decision made and be able to commit ourselves fully to moving forward. We hope to share our plans with as many of you as possible. PRAYER REQUESTS: So, if you would, let these verses guide you as you pray for us:

“I will not leave you or forsake you.” – We are on the road a lot and are constantly reminded that only by God’s grace do we arrive safely.
Pray for our physical safety and health and that we will truly believe and depend on God’s loving, continuous, graceful presence.

“Be strong and courageous.” - We are making plans for ministry, asking for individuals and churches to join us by supporting us, and preparing to once again leave kids here in the US.
Pray for us to not let disappointments and discouragements draw us away from the only source of strength and courage, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Pray for wisdom and guidance for us and our co-workers as we seek to see this great work accomplished by the power of the Lord. We desire to be strong and courageous in this ministry because the Lord is indeed with us His people.

“For you shall cause this people to inherit the land.”
Pray for the Iranian people, that God would continue to draw many to him and make them living, growing disciples in His Church.
Pray that He will equip us to present the inheritance of righteousness offered only through Jesus Christ in a winsome and timely manner to the many Muslims.
Pray for the training of godly leaders who are needed in the small fellowships of believers.
Pray that God would enable us to start a worship service soon in the city to which we are going.
